What is a will?

A will, also known as a last will and testament, is a legal document that allows you to decide what happens to your belongings, property, and assets after you pass away. In simple terms, it is like writing a letter to say who gets what when you're not around anymore. With a will, you can also choose individuals who would take care of any children you have who are under 18, and even specify any other wishes you have like who will receive your property and in what proportions as well as who will manage the distribution of these assets ( known as the executor). It's an important way to make sure your wishes are followed, and your loved ones are taken care of after you're gone.
